The Importance of Reading our Newsletter and Voting in the Gubernatorial Primary

Many people struggle with information overload, bombarded by a relentless stream of opinions, conflicting facts, and political rhetoric. It can be difficult to distinguish between truth, partial truths, and outright misinformation. At New Jersey Family Policy Center, we take pride in delivering accurate information, free from sensationalized narratives.

That is why it is so important to read our email newsletters each week. You will stay informed and engaged with the New Jersey Family Policy Center’s efforts to protect family values and advocate for policies that strengthen communities across the state.

I want to encourage you to urge your friends to subscribe to the NJ Family Policy Center’s Newsletter, so they can gain the same valuable insights and updates directly into their inbox. Please direct them to our website, where they can scroll to the bottom of any page to complete the ‘Sign Up For Our Email List’ form. This will help them to:

1. Stay Updated on Family-Focused Legislation: Receive timely information on legislative developments in New Jersey, such as efforts to safeguard parental rights and promote life-affirming policies, empowering you to take action.

2. Access Resources for Advocacy: Get practical tools, event invitations, and guidance on issues like education choice and protecting girls’ sports, helping you advocate effectively for your family’s values.

The Gubernatorial Primary is happening right now as over 190,000 Vote By Mail ballots have already been returned. Early Voting is Tuesday, June 3 – 8, and Election Day for the Primary is Tuesday, June 10.

You might be surprised to learn that only 12% of registered voters take part in the primary election. This means a candidate can win the primary—and ultimately become the next governor by securing victory in the November general election—with the backing of less than 5% of New Jersey residents who vote in the June primary.

I want to encourage you to help educate and motivate your friends to vote by using our non-partisan Get Out the Vote video.

NJFPC Director of Advocacy, Shawn Hyland answers the question: “Why is it important to vote in the NJ Gubernatorial Primary?” Because the next Attorney General and Commissioner of Education will be determined.
