Hope, Humor, and Resolve – a Time to Stand

A Night to Remember

Hundreds of passionate advocates gathered for New Jersey Family Policy Center’s Time to Stand event on November 6. With times of laughter and conviction, we stood shoulder to shoulder in defense of parental rights, educational freedom, and the dignity of human life at all stages of development.

Our keynote speaker, Fox News contributor Joe Concha, brought the house down with wit and wisdom. In a season where headlines often feel heavy, Joe’s stories of traveling with the Trump campaign in 2024 offered much-needed comic relief.

We also had the privilege of honoring several faithful ministry partners who have gone on to receive their eternal reward in heaven, and a courageous school board member and parental rights activist Danielle Bellomo from Marlboro, NJ.

But the evening wasn’t just about celebration. It was a call to action. Shawn Hyland, Director of Advocacy, shared with the attendees the battle in the Statehouse against radical legislation that threatens the very foundation of parental authority and child safety:

Custody stripping bills would empower the state to remove the custody rights from a parent if they decline to affirm irreversible gender-transition procedures for their 10-year-old child.

Suicide-risk concealment laws would prohibit a mental health professional from informing parents when their 16-year-old child is at high risk of self-harm, tragically cutting off the lifeline of parental support at the most critical moment.

Curriculum control mandates aim to dictate what children learn not only in school, but in the privacy of their own homes by requiring home school families to align their lessons with the NJ Learning Standards that include transgender ideology at young ages.

If you attended the event, thank you for being part of this movement. If you missed it, we invite you to join us in the fight ahead. Let’s keep laughing. Let’s keep praying. And let’s keep standing.

While the evening was powerful, the free will offering fell short of our goal. Your support fuels our ability to expose harmful legislation and defend the rights of parents and children across New Jersey. If you believe in this mission, please consider making a gift today to help us close the gap and press forward with strength.
