I embrace the term – thank you very much!
Headline: Pro-God Group Tries to Intervene in Murphy Administration’s Lawsuit on LGBTQ Parent Notification

At first, I was taken aback. I paused and wondered what her motives were to use the words “Pro-God” to describe the New Jersey Family Policy Center. Was this meant to be a slight to discredit us in the eyes of educators? Did she use the term to invoke a negative connotation in hopes her readers would identify and classify us as some religious fringe? Only the Lord knows the thoughts and intents of a person’s heart, but one thing I do know.
I love the term!
Let me say it as loud and as often as I can, ‘The New Jersey Family Policy Center is proudly and unashamedly Pro-God’.
Historically, there are many acceptable terms that have been used to describe our work and mission including; pro-life, pro-parent, pro-religious freedom. But if I could sum up our work and pinpoint a label that associates ourselves with a movement, it would be Pro-God.
We are for God and seek to honor Him in all that we do. We protect the lives of all children, born and unborn, because they are made in the image of God. We protect the rights of parents and the innocence of children because family is an institution created by God. We protect the religious freedom of people because worship is the heart of God.
I know our ministry partners are Pro-God too! That’s why you give. That’s why you pray. That’s why you get involved and make your views known to elected officials. According to this journalist, you are “on the side of God”. Again, not sure if that is supposed to be a good thing in her eyes, but if it fits – wear it, don’t hide it, completely embrace it.
Now, I have a question! If there are two sides to every balanced story in journalism, and the NJFPC is the “pro-God” group because we save lives and protect children, what group will be known as the “anti-God” group because they destroy lives and harm children? Who do you think that will be?
It doesn’t matter. If God is for us, who can be against us. (Romans 8:31). Friends, we truly need your financial support. This spiritual battle in our state intensifies almost daily. It is clearly being seen, even among non-religious people, as a struggle between good and evil, truth and falsehood, life and death. The New Jersey Family Policy Center is on the frontlines representing the timeless values based in God’s word.
