Yesterday, February 4, Shawn Hyland was honored to participate in the National Gathering of Prayer and Repentance at the Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. The event organizer Dr. Jim Garlow of Well Versed Ministries, in partnership with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, contacted the New Jersey Family Policy Center to bear the burden of public repentance on behalf of the state of New Jersey.
“My heart was heavy as I acknowledged the many sins of our state, such as the legal actions against pregnancy resource centers, the stockpiling of mifepristone to be sent across state lines targeting preborn children in prolife states, and the tens of millions of tax dollars that are used to build new abortion clinics and renovate existing ones – turning our state into an abortion destination.” Shawn Hyland
This four‑hour gathering brought together Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, members of Congress, state legislators, pastors, and representatives from dozens of nations. Together, we prayed for repentance, renewal, and for the persecuted church around the world.
