All eyes are on New Jersey
Our team recently attended the national SoConCon—Social Conservative Conference—in Indianapolis, Indiana, hosted by our national ally, Family Policy Alliance. Family Policy Councils from across America united with conservative organizations at the federal, state, and local levels to highlight legislative victories, confront ongoing challenges, and strategize the most effective paths forward to strengthen parental rights in state law.
Over half the states have stepped up to defend women’s sports and shield minors from irreversible gender-transitioning procedures. And now, 20 states have enacted critical protections to keep children safe from online pornography.
New Jersey, however, is still missing from the map. That’s why civic engagement and informed voting matter more than ever. With poor leadership, families and children are left exposed—and this year’s decisions carry consequences that couldn’t be more serious.
I left feeling encouraged and energized—there was a real buzz among attendees about the upcoming race for New Jersey’s next governor. Many were hopeful that Jack Ciattarelli would be the one to lead our state forward.

We also had the opportunity to speak with Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita. Unlike most states, New Jersey’s Attorney General is not elected by the people but appointed by the governor.
AG Rokita is a powerful example of what New Jersey could look like with new leadership. While our current AG, Matt Platkin, has dragged school boards and pregnancy centers into court, Rokita has taken a very different approach. He authored Indiana’s first “Parents Bill of Rights,” defended women’s and girls’ sports from radical gender policies, and successfully fought to reinstate parental consent laws—lifting court injunctions that had blocked Indiana’s ban on dismemberment abortions.
Friends, the Office of the Attorney General matters. Therefore, getting your friends to vote this year for our next governor is not an option.
