Building the future of New Jersey

New Jersey has spent the past 25 years under continuous control of the state’s majority progressive party in the Legislature, resulting in a policy environment that is contrary to the core values of millions of people throughout this state.
But the state does not have to look the same 25 years from now as it has become over the past 25. Politics shift. Movements rise. New voices emerge.
Therefore, no matter how discouraged many conservative New Jerseyans may feel in light of our state’s current political landscape, I remain convinced that we can build a better future by investing now in the next generation of advocates. We must equip young leaders to be prepared, experienced, and confident as they step into public‑policy arenas, so they are able to voice their convictions with respect, diplomatic tact, and a sense of honor toward those who serve in elected office.
That is why I am excited to share with you our new initiative currently in its development pilot program stage.
Introducing the Next Gen Advocacy Program
We are launching a new initiative designed to equip Christian high school students with a practical, biblically grounded pathway into civic engagement. The Next Gen Advocacy Program guides 9-12th grade students through a six‑step, hands‑on process that helps them understand how government works and how believers can engage it with wisdom, confidence, and respect.
The journey begins with a presentation in youth groups or Christian school chapels, where students learn about the Christian’s role in public policy and are invited to participate in the program.
From there, students step directly into real‑world experiences. They attend a local school board meeting, learn how to read agendas, observe governance, and offer a brief public comment. They then spend a full day in Trenton attending committee hearings, meeting legislators, and discussing resources that connect faith and government.
A follow‑up meeting with their local state legislator gives students the opportunity to reflect on what they’ve learned, ask prepared questions, and grow more comfortable with engaging elected officials. The program concludes with a debrief where students review resources, process their experiences, and learn how to take future action through our advocacy tools.
This initiative is designed to raise up young leaders who can speak with clarity and conviction in the public square.
