The time has come
Politics is the art and science of winning an election, just as there is the art and science of winning a football game. There is a strategy. There are regulations and rules. We don’t get involved in elections to have a sense of political power, but to create public policy through our elected representatives.
Government was created for our benefit to restrain evil and promote good in society. (Romans 13) God instituted government to be the source of accountability with the legal authority to enforce boundaries to uphold an ordered community. Without such restraints – lawlessness, chaos, and disorder would abound.
In our constitutional form of government, we have the right and responsibility to vote for people to make laws on our behalf. Federal bills are debated and passed into laws by members of the U.S Congress, and appointments are made to fill federal agencies by the Executive branch to enforce these laws – and make up thousands of pages of regulations that go beyond the scope of the law!
Your vote is the act of using your moral agency to give your consent to another person to represent you when these laws are made and enforced.
We are coming up to the final few days of the Presidential election that has major implications for New Jersey, including a U.S. Senate seat. The outcome of this election will also help to shape the 2025 New Jersey Gubernatorial race.
Vote By Mail and Early Voting numbers are erupting all over our state. Over 1.2 million New Jerseyans have already voted as of Oct 30! Election day has now become more of an election deadline. If possible, I encourage you to take advantage of the early voting locations within your county of residence.
But who should you vote for?
