Assembly Members need your support to stop the gender transition and late term abortion shield law
Caption above: Assemblyman Paul Kanitra (R-Point Pleasant) speaking on the floor of the Assembly during their voting session on June 30, 2026.
I want you to know that you have strong, outspoken Republican legislators in the Assembly who stood up and opposed S2260/A2218 the so-called “shield law” when it was voted on last week. You are not alone in this fight. Their willingness to stand firm and ask hard questions in this legislative battle should be recognized. I want you to watch them do what is so often overlooked but happens more often than you realize—speak up for you as representatives of your voice.
These videos are worth your time because they show, in real moments, legislators standing up for your values and voicing your concerns inside the State House. When you watch them, you’ll see leaders pushing back, asking tough questions, and refusing to let serious issues go unchallenged. It’s a reminder that your advocacy matters, your voice is being heard, and there are people in Trenton fighting for the principles you care about.
It’s still not too late to tell Governor Sherrill to VETO this horrendous bill.
